The cottage stands on the sparsely populated slope of Desenský vrch, in a romantic environment where picturesque meadows end and deep spruce and mixed forests begin

In the surroundings you can see modified cottages of the original mountain type, used mainly for recreation

In the warmer part of the year, you will find an abundance of berries and mushrooms along the roads and in the forests, which will not only entertain the children, but also provide a tasty dinner

The name Výletní street suggests that we are located in an area popular with Desen trippers, recreational runners and dog walkers

The great calm in the summer is disturbed only by the grasshoppers, which grow in the adjacent meadows of enormous dimensions

The cottage is very easily accessible by car, bike and on foot

It is located about 100 meters to the right of the intersection with Sokolská Street

The picturesque unfenced garden under the cottage offers, in addition to a large outdoor fireplace and garden seating for a large number of people, above all a beautiful view of the greenery and the opposite slope

The cottage is suitable for a group of friends or several families with children or corporate stays and team building

With a leisurely walk, you can see the valley of the Bílá Desná river and the monument of the broken dam (1 km), the solitude of Sovín (1 km), the village of Novina (2 km), or the 365 stone steps to the village of Mariánská hora to the chapel and memorial plaque F

Schiller (4 km) or to the waterfalls on the Černá Desná river (3 - 4 km) and the Souš reservoir (5 km)

In winter, you can use the Desná - Černá říčka ski area (4 km by car), the Tanvaldský Špičák ski area (5 km by car), or the Jizerská magistrál starting points at the game reserve on Mariánská hora (6 km by car) or by the Souš dam reservoir (6 km by car, 3 km on cross country)

The building probably dates from the 19th century, the first mentions in the land register date back to 1832 and 1845. From July 2011, the Lusitania Mountain Hut has the current owner

We chose the name Lusitania because of our love for Portugal

From the first day, we try to change everything in our image

We are gradually improving the interior and exterior, so that we like it here too, and you like to come back to us

That is why the cottage was newly renovated in June 2020.

For guests arriving by train or bus, transportation to the cottage and back at the end of the stay can be arranged upon prior arrangement.

Dining

Those who would like the option of half board or full board instead of cooking in the kitchen can visit one of the catering facilities in Desná, approximately 1 km from the cottage

At the same distance, there are bus stops, a railway station, a municipal sports complex, a health center, a post office, a convenience store, smaller shops (including a few "snacks") and an information center

Tanvald (3 km from the cottage) offers good shopping opportunities - Billa, Lidl, Penny.

Cottage furnishings

The cottage is connected to the municipal water supply, so the water is potable

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped common kitchen (fridge with freezer, electric stove with hob and convection oven, microwave oven, toaster, electric juicer, blender, 2 kettles, dishwasher (including tablets), kitchen utensils and dishes available ), common room (dining room) with a fireplace, which creates a guaranteed true mountain atmosphere

In the hall there are shelves for outdoor shoes, hangers for clothes, entrance to 2 bathrooms with showers (men/women) and to an area with 2 sinks and 2 separate toilets (men/women)

On the ground floor there is 1 room (4 beds), suitable for a family with small children or for the elderly or physically handicapped

The remaining 4 rooms are accessed via the stairs from the entrance hall (with beds 5, 3, 4 and 4)

In the common corridor upstairs, the rooms have individual lockable built-in wardrobes

The entire cottage is non-smoking and there is no television

For guests who need to stay connected while on vacation, we recommend a mobile internet connection

During your stay, information materials about the surroundings, books and board games are available, in winter it is possible to borrow snowshoes

We sort waste in the cottage (paper, plastic, glass, bio-waste), there is a bio-waste composter outside.

The price for the entire cottage per day is 5,400 CZK in winter (6,000 CZK on New Year's Eve), 4,400 CZK in summer

If the cottage is fully occupied (20 beds), the price per person will be CZK 220/day in summer and CZK 270/day in winter

The rental price includes:

1. bed linen (for duvet and pillow + sheet).

2. local fees from the accommodation capacity (in the amount of CZK 15/day/person), paid according to the generally binding ordinance of the town of Desná.

3. dishwasher tablets and paper towels in the kitchen and on the tables.

4. all consumption of firewood and coal briquettes

5. usual average daily electricity consumption

However, with normal electricity consumption, it is not possible to exceed the limit.

6. parking outside the winter season directly at the cottage; in the winter season about 100 meters from the cottage.

For stays of 14 days or more, we will offer you a 3% discount on the total price of the accommodation.

For repeated stays of 7 days or more, we will offer you a discount of 5% of the total accommodation price

Both discounts can be combined.

If you are used to your own bed linen, which you bring with you, you can count on a discount of CZK 50 per person per stay.

For a stay of less than a week (e.g

long weekends) a fee of CZK 150 per person for the entire stay is added.

We are happy to allow a dog or other pet to stay for an additional fee of CZK 150/day.
