Vilka Pod Strážným Vrchem is a detached Art Nouveau house that is ideal for a family vacation

On one side of the meadow, behind which the path to the Strážný Vrch observation tower winds, and on the other side there is a view of the well-maintained heritage-protected area (of which the villa is a part) of the former rychta and one-story 18th-century house

Today, two families (joint owners of the villa) live in the wooden cottages, goats and two cows graze in the orchard, and the barn behind it provides facilities for an organic farm and cheese factory

No city on the horizon, just rolling hillsides with blooming pastures, lush green borders and forest

The České středohoří is an incredibly colorful and picturesque landscape full of old fruit trees and picturesque villages

In the valley there is a babbling stream and a string of beautiful cottages stretches along it, which makes Merboltice a heritage zone.

Accommodation in the Villa

Bedrooms and rooms: There are two entrances for guests

In the basement there is a spacious cloakroom where you can hide bicycles and a stroller, a shared toilet and two shower rooms

On the ground floor there is a separate apartment with its own toilet and bathroom

The apartment consists of a kitchen (where an extra bed is possible) and a bedroom (2 fold-out double beds)

In the corridor on the ground floor there is also a common toilet and the entrance to the "cafe" - a stylish room for evening sitting with a direct connection to the garden behind the house

Upstairs there is a balcony, a bedroom (2 double beds) and a common room with a kitchenette, which can be used as a separate bedroom.

The farm under Strážný Vrchem offers year-round and seasonal products

You can look forward to several types of goat's and cow's cheese as well as other dairy products, or spread your bread with homemade butter and honest marmalade and drink it with cider

And don't forget to ask about the eggs!

What you can't find on the farm, you can buy in the nearby (5 km) Verneřice, where the supermarket is open every day and the butcher's shop is also open during the week

If you don't want to cook, we can recommend the inn "U Kadlečka" there, or a really great pizza from Žandovo (5 km).

Villa furnishings

The villa is equipped with simple but tasteful functional furniture that can easily be adapted to the needs of the guests

The kitchenettes have kettles, the apartment has a microwave oven and a two-burner stove, the upstairs kitchen has a glass-ceramic stove with an oven

Both kitchens have a basic set of cutlery and tableware for 5 people, several pots and pans, 2 refrigerators

A washing machine and cleaning products are available in the dressing room

Energy is calculated separately, it depends on the use of direct heating. In summer it can cost CZK 600 for a week, in winter with the use of direct heating even CZK 1,000 per day.
