Chalupa Šajtava is actually a former school for the children of the Sudeten mountaineers in the heart of the Orlické Mountains near Zdobnice and the highest peak of the Velké Deštná at an altitude of 800m

Mountain streams, complete solitude and a beautiful deep forest complete the genius loci

The Šajtava school cottage (formerly Scheithau) has a large social space with adorable Jotul stones, a seating area, a bar, a dining room, a library with a gramophone and a school blackboard

It goes without saying that central heating, a well-equipped kitchen and the possibility to use a ski and bicycle storage room are provided

The capacity of the cottage is 24 people + cots in 7 bedrooms

On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a shower, two toilets and a washing machine

On the floor there are two more bathrooms (2 showers and a bathtub) and 3 toilets.

Sanitary facilities: On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a shower, two sinks, two toilets and a washing machine

Upstairs there are 2 bathrooms (2 showers, bathtub) and 3 toilets.

Heating: The cottage is centrally heated and also has adorable Jotul stones for atmosphere.

Transportation, parking: Up to 10 cars can park at the cottage

You can get to the cottage by car, however the road is not really a highway and in winter requires good winter tires or snow chains or a quad bike

The cottage is in the mountains in the middle of the forest.

Dining

The restaurant is 700 m from the cottage, but the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to eat together, including large pots

It is also possible to prepare some of that namka directly for you at the cottage and with love in agreement with the owner.

Cottage furnishings

In the common room there is a record player, a library and a cabinet full of board games

Outside there is a terrace with seating, a large gas grill, a fire pit, a trampoline, a ping-pong table and a children's playground, which includes a sandpit, a 30m cable car, a slide and various swings (4 pcs.)

The most popular children's attraction, however, are the two streams with mills and playhouses.
