Cottage to rent

The Záhory cottage is situated outside of civilization and a short distance from the town of Rokytnice in the Orlické hory - less than 2 km on foot, in the solitude of nature, where you can recharge your batteries

WINTER OPERATION:

We recommend packing your bike chains or snowshoes - the last 500m is not always passable (if necessary, we will help you transfer your luggage to our car and you will park at the neighboring guesthouse)

The cottage is ideal for cross-country skiers - tracks a short distance from the cottage, not ideal for downhill skiers - you can go to Bartošovice (not always enough snow) or Rokytnice (not always enough snow) or Říček - approx. 35 min drive

Záhora's family cottage in the middle of nowhere is a cottage with a long story

My ancestors left a great work here in a wonderful place that is available for you to rest and relax

It is furnished modestly and functionally

Practical info: the cottage is located in the middle of forests, meadows and hillsides between Kunvald and Rokytnica in the Orlické Mountains

It is possible to arrive by car from Kunvald, if you have an all-terrain vehicle, then also from Rokytnice

Rokytnice, Kunvald, Bartošovice, Zemská brána or Hanička are easily accessible on foot

Cyclists will be delighted by the many marked routes.

The building itself is a typical rectangular building, where the habitable part is only one third of the building (if you don't want to sleep on the hayloft, which is also possible), two thirds is occupied by a barn with former stables, which are now used as a woodshed and storage

The land is two-storey, reconstruction is planned.

Accommodation in the Cottage

Bedrooms and rooms: 2 rooms: 1 large room with a fireplace and a large bunk bed for 3 people (or a family with 2 small children, we slept 5 on it)

+ 1 room with a tiled stove - there are 3 beds: 1x single bed, 1x folding bunk bed (140 cm wide)

kitchen with a fireplace in the original corridor with vaulted ceilings, you can walk directly out of the kitchen

Sanitary facilities: stylish bathroom with shower, WC, beautiful view of the greenery

Heating: tempering with an air conditioning unit, you heat with wood (stove in the corridor and in the rooms), in the summer there is usually no heating

Transportation, parking: Parking at the cottage, the last 500m of the access road is stony / gravel

Dining

You can get fresh rolls in Rokytnice in Orlické hory (1.5 km through the forest), there you can also find several good restaurants and shops

I recommend Hotel Rokytenka, where there is a wonderful children's playground and a zoo

In addition to Rokytnice, you can go to the nearby Bartošovice (3.5 km through the forest) for a pifko or ice cream - when the situation is normal...

Cottage furnishings

Tiled stove, stove with oven, microwave oven, kettle, garden shower, children's baths, tin bath for anyone :)

township fees are paid separately together with the consumed electricity (CZK 8 / 1kWh)

water and bed linen are included in the rental price

deposit: CZK 3,000 per week (CZK 1,500 per weekend)

weekly stays during the summer holidays 2024: Friday-Friday
