Kadov is a small village located in the very heart of the Highlands

It is a quiet, picturesque village full of log cabins and old-fashioned cottages

It lies in the territory of the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy near Nové Město na Moravá

Its origin and history is connected with the establishment of the local ironworks in the middle of the 17th century, which operated almost until the end of the 19th century

You can view some of the products of the Kado ironworks in the Horáck Museum in Nové Město na Moravá

Currently, the village has around 150 inhabitants

Normal civic amenities work here - you can shop here at the COOP grocery store, go to Janečků Inn or Klokočí Restaurant for dinner or lunch

In the village you will find a bus stop with regular direct lines to Nové Město na Moravě and Žďár nad Sázavou

Visitors with children will also enjoy the children's playground

You can explore the surroundings of Kadovo on foot and by bike

In addition to the Žďárské vrchy, there are for example the Fairy Tale Village, the ruins of Aueršperk Castle, the spring of the Sázava River or the pilgrimage church of St.

Heating: In winter, you can use the heating with a fireplace in the living room, which will quickly warm up the space.

The village has a grocery store, an inn, and the local restaurant serves the famous "Kadovánek" liqueur

The first restaurant is approx. 200m from the cottage, the second approx. 50m

Otherwise, there are countless excellent and beautiful restaurants for families with children around the Žďárské vrchy.

After a trip to the surroundings, you can relax in the winter garden with seating and during the long winter evenings you can relax by the fireplace
