Chalupa Sklářská is located in the heart of the Jizera Mountains less than 5 km below the popular Protržená dam in the village of Desná
The cottage underwent a complete renovation in 2020 with an emphasis on preserving the original features and equipment and at the same time high comfort
The cottage is newly complemented by a glass wellness area with a Finnish sauna and relaxation room
The dominant feature of the cottage is a functional tiled stove with oven, original wooden ceilings and renovated wooden furniture
The cottage is strategically located directly on the tourist route leading to the Marian Stairs in Albrechtice, less than 2 km from the cross-country ski run and less than 4 km from the popular resort Tanvaldský Špičák
Behind the house there is a private forest, 50m from the house you will find the clear river Bílá Desná
Owners of electric cars will appreciate the 11kW charger located in the parking lot at the house, which is available to guests
The cottage can comfortably accommodate 11 people, after agreement it can be increased to 14 people in 4 spacious 2 - 4 bed bedrooms and offers 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms
For larger groups, there is also the possibility of renting a stylish duplex apartment for 2 people
The apartment is directly adjacent to the cottage and has its own separate entrance
The apartment is fully equipped and offers, among other things, a massive bed of old beams or a stylish bathroom with stone and copper elements.
Bedrooms and rooms: On the ground floor there is a cozy living room with sofa, tiled stove and kitchen
The ground floor offers a generous bedroom for 3-4 people
Upstairs you will find 3 spacious bedrooms: 2 triple to quadruple bedrooms, 1 double
Each bedroom offers a double bed
Bedrooms for 3 - 4 people are equipped with a 120 cm wide bed, which comfortably sleeps two children, or can be used as a couch
Upstairs there is a children's corner with board games and toys and a reading room equipped with restored armchairs by Jindřich Halabala.
Sanitary facilities: On each floor there is a spacious bathroom with toilet, on the ground floor there is also a separate third toilet
The bathrooms are lined with beautiful retro tiles and offer generous showers
Hair dryers are a matter of course.
Heating: The ground floor of the cottage (sitting room, room, toilet, bathroom and dressing room) is heated by underfloor heating for your maximum comfort
In the seating area you can warm yourself with a pleasant radiant heat from the tiled stove
Stylish cast iron radiators with thermal heads are installed on the first floor
The floor and ground floor can be controlled by a thermostat according to your needs.
Transportation, parking: Parking right next to the cottage can accommodate up to 5 cars in summer and winter
The car park is accessible directly from the road, which is maintained all year round
An 11 kW electric car charger is available for guests.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, convection oven, electric hob, kettle, microwave, hand blender and in the late morning also a quality coffee machine for coffee beans
Lovers of traditional cooking will appreciate the opportunity to cook or bake on a tiled stove / oven
There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area, which we will be happy to personally recommend when handing over the cottage
The nearest restaurant is only 500 m from the cottage
In the village Desná there is a local supermarket with regional food (2km), 5 km distant Tanvalda can be bought in Lidl, Bill and Penny
Within a radius of 10 km there are a number of artisan bakeries and organic farms, which we are happy to recommend in person
You can, among other things, store the purchased food in a granite cellar, where it will maintain the right temperature throughout your stay.
The cottage is equipped with a traditional interior tastefully complemented by modern elements
The furniture is either made to measure by local craftsmen or is a restored historical piece
You will not find a TV in the cottage, but we offer quality fast Wi - Fi coverage, interesting books, board games and puzzles
The cottage is equipped with fire and smoke detectors, security equipment and parking is monitored by a camera system
Next to the cottage there is a lockable heated ski room and bike shed with plenty of sockets for charging e-bikes or ski service.
In the summer months you can use the barbecue and comfortable seating in the yard behind the house
A fireplace for lovers of toasting is located in the garden by the forest
There is a wellness area with a Finnish sauna for up to 8 people and a glass relaxation room overlooking the forest.

The price of the stay includes 1x entrance to the wellness
Guests pay only community fees and the consumption of chargers for electric cars.
In high season, at Christmas and New Year, rental is only possible for a week (from Sunday to Sunday).
In low season, stays of 3 nights or more are possible
On the day of arrival, the cottage is available from 4 pm, on the last day we ask you to leave by 10 am.
