Chalupa Sklářská is located in the very heart of the Jizera Mountains, less than 5 km below the popular Protržená Dam in the village of Desná

The cottage underwent a complete renovation in 2020 with an emphasis on preserving the original elements and was equipped with modern technologies such as

The cottage is newly completed by a glazed wellness area with a Finnish sauna, a rest room and the possibility of massages

The dominant feature of the cottage is a functional tiled stove, original wooden ceilings and renovated wooden furniture

The cottage comfortably accommodates 11 people, by agreement it can be increased to 14 people in 4 spacious 2-4 bed bedrooms and offers 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms

In the cottage, you will find above-standard equipment such as a luxury WEBER grill, a quality contact grill, a waffle iron and an above-standard equipped kitchen

You can make your stay more pleasant with quality organic Czech wines from our wine cellar or order packages of regional food from local farmers.

The cottage is strategically located directly on a walking and cycling route

Cross-country skiers will appreciate the starting point on the Jizerská highway, less than 2 km from the cottage, while downhill lovers will appreciate the popular Tanvaldský Špičák ski area, which is only 4 km from the cottage

The clear Bílá Desná river flows in front of the cottage

Owners of electric cars can use the 11 kW charger located in the parking lot next to the house

For larger groups, it is also possible to rent a stylish maisonette apartment for 2 people

The apartment is directly adjacent to the cottage and has its own separate entrance

The apartment is fully equipped and offers, among other things, a massive bed made of old beams or a stylish bathroom with stone and copper elements.

Accommodation in the Cottage

Bedrooms and rooms: On the ground floor there is a cozy sitting room with a sofa, a tiled stove and a kitchen

The ground floor offers a generous bedroom for 3-4 people

Upstairs you will find 3 spacious bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with three to four beds, 1 with a double bed

Each bedroom offers a double bed

Bedrooms for 3 - 4 people are equipped with a 120 cm wide bed, which comfortably sleeps two children, or can be used as a couch

Upstairs there is a children's corner with board games and toys and a reading room equipped with restored armchairs by Jindřich Halabala.

Sanitary facilities: A spacious bathroom with toilet is available on each floor, and there is also a separate third toilet on the ground floor

The bathrooms are lined with beautiful retro tiles and offer generous showers

Hair dryers are a matter of course.

Heating: The ground floor of the cottage (sitting room, room, toilet, bathroom and dressing room) is heated by underfloor heating for your maximum comfort

In the sitting room, you can warm yourself with pleasant radiant heat from the tiled stove

Stylish cast iron radiators with thermal heads are installed upstairs

Both the first floor and the ground floor can be controlled by a thermostat according to your needs.

Transportation, parking: The parking lot right next to the cottage can accommodate up to 5 cars in summer and winter

The parking lot is accessible directly from the road, which is maintained all year round

An 11 kW electric car charger is available for guests.

Dining

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, including a contact grill, waffle maker, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, hot air oven, electric hob, kettle, microwave, stick blender and, last but not least, a high-quality bean coffee machine

There are a number of excellent restaurants in the vicinity, which we will be happy to personally recommend when handing over the cottage

The nearest restaurant is only 500 m from the cottage

In the village of Desná there is a local supermarket with regional food (2 km), in Tanvalda, 5 km away, you can shop at Lidl, Billa and Penny

There are a number of artisan bakeries and organic farms within a 10 km radius, which we would be happy to personally recommend

You can, among other things, store the purchased food in the granite cellar, where it will maintain the right temperature throughout your stay

We offer regional food packages - tapas basket, barbecue package, etc.

Cottage furnishings

The cottage is equipped with a traditional interior tastefully supplemented with modern elements

You won't find a TV in the cottage, but we offer high-quality fast Wi-Fi coverage, interesting books, board games and puzzles

Next to the cottage, there is a lockable heated ski storage room and a bicycle storage room with enough sockets for charging e-bikes or servicing skis.

In the summer months, you can use the luxurious WEBER grill, comfortable seating in the yard behind the house or on the terrace near the forest

The fireplace for lovers of roasting dumplings is located in the garden near the forest

A sandpit and a swing are available in the garden for children

Guests have access to a wellness area with a Finnish sauna for up to 8 people and a glass relaxation room with a view of the forest

The cottage is equipped with fire and smoke detectors, security equipment and the parking lot is monitored by a camera system.

Availibility, fees, price specifications

THE PRICE OF THE STAY INCLUDING ALL ENERGY and fees, no hidden fees and surcharges await you at the end of your stay

1x entrance to the wellness center is included in the price of the stay

Guests pay only fees to the municipality and consumption of the charger for electric cars.

During spring break, Christmas and New Year's it is only possible to rent for a week (from Sunday to Sunday).

In other dates, stays of 3 nights or more are possible

During the week, a stay of 2 nights is possible by arrangement.

On the day of arrival, the cottage is available to you from 4 p.m., on the last day we ask you to leave by 10:30 a.m.
