Our compact and cozy cottage in Podhradí nad Dyjí is located in the cottage settlement "Nad splavem"

From its terrace, which from summer 2021 is dominated by an outdoor whirlpool with dimensions of 2x2 m for 5 people, there is a wonderful view of the valley where the river Dyje meanders

The ruins of Frejštejna castle watch over all this on the opposite side

Under the terrace there is a fireplace grill and a smaller grassy area with a fireplace: wood is of course available for free

IMPORTANT FOR FAMILIES WITH SMALL CHILDREN: We have also thought of our smallest guests - a cot with a hygienic mattress and protector, an IKEA Antilop high chair, a wooden playpen with an adjustable floor height (for infants and toddlers) or a plastic bathtub with a bath are available on request deck chair

The cottage is also equipped with a protective gate above the stairs

IMPORTANT FOR ALL GUESTS: If your employer contributes to your vacation, we will be happy to issue you an invoice for the required amount after prior agreement

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

– The cottage is non-smoking, smoking is only allowed in the outdoor area

– Pets are not allowed: we are very reluctant to enforce this ban, however, please remember that guests with allergies may come on holiday after a pet

– Entry to the cottage is only allowed to persons registered in the house book

We certainly won't deny you a visit from friends who are just passing by, but we have to prohibit repeated visits and the use of the cottage facilities by visitors, even if they don't like it

We apologize for these limitations, but they stem from our more than thirty years of experience.

Accommodation in the Cabin

Bedrooms and rooms: In the attic of the cottage, there are 2 separate bedrooms, separated by glass doors: the first and larger of them is also a walk-through to the second bedroom

Custom-made beds are lower, but not by any means

The height of the mattresses is 12 cm

The staircase by the walk-through bedroom is protected by a gate for our youngest guests.

Sanitary facilities: The clean bathroom is located on the ground floor and is equipped with a toilet, sink and shower.

Heating: The cottage can be heated with electric heaters with thermostatic control and fireplace stoves

Wood for the fireplace stove is available free of charge, wood briquettes for a fee according to the supplier's price list (KB coal).

Transportation, parking: The car park is approximately 50m from the cottage along a narrower footpath, but there is no need to worry: so far there has never been any damage to vehicles

The dimensions of the parking lot are 8x3.5 m and can accommodate two passenger vehicles.

Dining

There is a well-equipped kitchen in the cottage, a fireplace grill on the terrace, but in Podhradí you can also find a restaurant with home-style cuisine and very reasonable prices

Other restaurants can be found, for example, in Uherčice (7 km) and Vranov nad Dyjí (12 km).

Cabin furnishings

The cottage has a small, unfenced plot, two terraces - the upper one with a 2x2 m whirlpool and a beautiful, romantic view of the Dyje valley and the opposite wooded hillside

There is a fireplace grill on the lower terrace and a campfire pit next to the terrace

Equipment and layout of the cottage:

– a living room with stylish furniture, a fireplace and a 43" TV with 4K resolution, HDMI and USB inputs, as well as a satellite receiver for TV channels in "Full HD" resolution,

– compact but fully equipped kitchen (kitchen unit with sink, induction hob with 4 cooking zones (if you have a pacemaker, consult your doctor if you can use induction), refrigerator with 3-drawer freezer, microwave oven, kettle, all cooking and eating utensils)

– clean bathroom with toilet and shower,

– two bedrooms, 2x double bed, 1x single bed, reading lights above all beds.

The cottage in Podhradí nad Dyjí is only open from the end of May to the end of September

The prices are shown without bed linen, towels and dish cloths: guests will bring their own

We are now forced to bill electricity consumption separately even in the high season

On the other hand, the price of the stay includes the consumption of water, wood for heating and unlimited use of the whirlpool on the terrace

The listed prices are valid for 1-5 people

The price for the stay and the residence fees for the municipal office are payable on the day of arrival

Fees:

Recreational fee: CZK 20/day, paid by all persons over 18 years of age

Electricity according to the current price list (supplier Innogy, product Optimal, tariff D01d).

Upon check-in, your deposit is converted into a deposit of CZK 2,000, which will be billed to you upon departure

The maximum capacity of the cottage is 5 people, including children, regardless of age

Dogs and other animals are not allowed

We will certainly not deny you a two-hour visit from friends who are just passing by, but we fundamentally do not allow repeated visits that would use the facility's facilities
